translation help

Hi everyone, after reading this community for nearly a year this is my first post. I'm from australia, I'm second year Russian at melbourne university. I'm learning Russian because I hope to be a Soviet historian.
Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone could help me with this translation, i feel I've translated it horribly incorrectly, would you be able to point out my mistakes?

В настоящее время отношение к «Архипелагу ГУЛАГ» (и к А. И. Солженицыну) весьма противоречивое, поскольку вопросы отношения к советскому периоду, Октябрьской революции, репрессиям, личностям Ленина и Сталина вновь приобрели политическую остроту.

my translation:
The present attitudes to Gulag Archipelago (and A.I Solzhenitsyn) are very highly contradictory, but as long as questions and attitudes to the Soviet period, the October Revolution, repression, and the figures of Lenin and Stalin are fresh, they (Gulag Archipelago and Solzhenitsyn) have acquired political acuteness.

If you are not native russian speaker, but consider yourself an expert in Russian, try to translate this phrase:
"косил косой косой косой".

P.S. It is not meaningless, it has a strict sense.

elementary russian books

Hi everyone. Sorting out my books before moving appartments I have found several books (with tapes, all tapes are unpacked) that I was going to use in 2000 to teach an English businessman Russian. I invested a lot in those- but then somehow we only had one or two lessons and then the person left Moscow as his office was transferred to Kiev or somewhere else (I don't remember). And I have compleately forgotten that I had them. :) If anyone lives in Moscow and needs them I will gladly sell them for a small sum. The books are: ( list )

To the moderators: I am sorry if this off-topic. I just don't know which other community might be interested in those books and it will be a pity to throw them away, especially the tapes.
