1. Try to stay on-topic. Don't post advertisements for other communities or webpages (unless they're free educational resources valuable for for Russian learners). No advertisement of private businesses or paid services, please. Don't post advertisements of automated translation tools, either Web-based or standalone (at least until they can pass the Turing test.)

2. Abusive posts and comments will be deleted, and their authors banned from the community without warning.

3. Keep potentially offensive language to yourself. If you want to discuss curse words, try to do so in a serious fashion, and put all offensive words behind an lj-cut, with a clear warning. If you don't follow this rule, don't be surprised if your post or comment is deleted. (This FAQ explains how to make an LJ-cut.)

4. The working language of this community is English. Post in English or provide a translation.

5. This community is for non-native learners of Russian. Native Russian speakers are expected to consult the non-native learners. This is not a community for learning English or asking questions concerning English language. If you are looking for a place where you can polish your English, you may try ru_learnenglish instead.

6. Don't ask the community to do your homework for you. If you are not sure you're doing the right thing and want the community to check your work, do so, but don't ask people to do the entire translation for you.
