I have been trying to say the following "Well, now I don't dare go anywhere" in Russian.

This is my attempt: Но, сейчас я не постею поехать никуда.

I am wondering if this is just not possible to say? I found the verb "сметь" in my dictionary for "to dare", but it doesn't look right... Or am I doing something else wrong here?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here's another sentence that has been deemed incomprehensible in Russian by some of the readers of my personal LJ:

На прошлой четверге, мне кричали на час и каждый раз я старалась ответить, мне кричали "Молчат!"

This is what I was trying to write: "Last Thursday, they yelled at me for an hour and every time I tried to respond (defend myself), I was told to "Shut Up."

Again, if anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong with this sentence, I would greatly appreciate it:)

Homework checking time again! this time it's case endings and regular/irregular verb endings (woo!)
It took me forever to get through this chapter!

Suppoly the proper personal ending for the verbs and the approriate case ending for the nouns. For example: Я птшу пером.

1. Я сегодня читаю книгу.
2. Книга тут.
3. Он читает журнал.
4. Она пищет мелом на доске.
5. Чем вы пишете дома?
6. Дома мы пишем карандашом или пером.
7. Вы пишете и читаете по-русску хорошо?
8. Да, я читаю и пишу хорошо, Но очень медленно.
9. Как студенты пишут и читают по-английски?
10. Они пишут и читают очень быстро.

спасибо!

I was asked to write a composition about my daily routine, and I whilst I used "работница" to describe my occupation (because I am), I would have liked to use the Russian word for "Criminologist". Unfortunately, neither this word nor "Criminology" are included in my dictionary. Thus, now I'm posting this here, hoping someone from this community could help me.
