Hello !

Sometimes I see “… потому, что …” and sometimes “… , потому что …” .
Is the place of the comma important?

Hello all,

I was curious if there was a shorter way to say the equivalent to "Our love will not disappear with years" since I was trying to fit it onto a ring. The translation I found, "Наша любовь не пройдёт с годами" is a bit long, but that is the message I want to get across. If not, if there is some other phrase that would be nice, please let me know. This is a ring to be given for my anniversary so I would like to stress that it really is very vital that the translation be correct.

Thank you in advance for any help provided.

Yesterday fixed the very worst of the bugs in my little flash vocabulary project which is now basically working - though quite primitively.

Each one you get right you get one point. Each one wrong - minus 5!

Editing instructions:
Can use Microsoft Word or any unicode editor.
Each word occupies one line of the file. For each word there are three entries separated by commas:
Russian word, word type, english translation.
for example:

судить, verb, to judge

you just need to change 'to judge' into german or whatever language you want.
Spaces are ignored. the commas are important!

I have a question: I'm currently doing research on Stalin and what went on during his reign and there's something that seems to conflict: It is said that all the killings and murders and acts that Stalin did did not go unnoticed, yet I'm reading from a book that upon his death, so many people went to his funeral that a great number were crushed to death. Also, in 1984 there was a poll taken by a British correspondent that revealed that there was a high opinion of him. So... I don't quite understand this. Anyone care to explain?

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new to learning Russian. I've been listening to this song which has a line at the beginning I don't really understand. I believe the line goes "Если ви меня лювите то даваете". What does it mean? I get that the first half reads "If you love me", but I don't really understand how то даваете would contribute to the meaning. Help?

Thanks!

~~June
