Голубой Собачка?
Feb. 19th, 2006 04:51 pmHas anyone ever seen the cartoon with the голубой puppy and the sailor?
1) Is this supposed to be symbolic?
2) Where could I get a copy here in the U.S., or especially on the Internet?

Date: 2006-02-20 10:44 pm (UTC)Еще в советские времена получил распространение термин «голубой». Я его услышал в студенческие [1977–1983] годы».
1977, heh?
You still don't understand: the fact that your parents didn't know the word or learned it later doesn't mean it didn't exist.

Голубой, like gay, is a word with a second meaning which developed later. Today, gay is rarely used to mean just happy in America, unless it's some holdover like a cartoon show (The Flintstones come to mind--"we'll have a gay ol' time"). Is it the same with голубой, or does the "light blue" meaning still take precedence?

Date: 2006-02-20 11:11 pm (UTC)I can, however, introduce you to some russian-speaking gay people in LJ and they will be able to tell you. Are you gay, if I may ask?
