Does anybody know the correct translation for Царское Село in English? I want to say Kingdom, but not sure that is exactly right...

First, it's Царское Село. It literally means "czar's village", but it is really name of a town near St. Petersbourg, which is now called Pushkin, so I guess it's best left untranslated.

Um, I also have this phrase which I'm not too sure what it means... something about service of the sovereign? "для важнейших частей службы государевой"

Literally, "for most important parts of sovereign's service", i.e., I suppose, for top positions in administration and military.

I`m not sure, but I think it means they prepared officials. Государева служба = государственная служба.

Not exactly: государева = sovereign's, государственная = state [service]. Both words mean the same for many Russians, though :))
