Hi y'all,

I have to do a brief presentation about a family member later this week, and i need some vocab that my teacher can't seem to help with. So, i figured i'd ask you all.

So far, the words i need are "performance art" "performance artist" "nightlife" and "day job" (as in the job that an artist takes just to pay the bills, but unrelated to their career choice).

Somehow i thought that picking my most eccentric family member would make this assignment easier rather than harder...

I'm trying to learn some prepositions, or well rather expressions including prepositions, and I made some sentences that I hope you can help me correct! I am not very interested in different ways one can say these things, but rather if what I've said is ok, and if not, the simplest way to say it! Thank you :)

(By the time I knew this, it was already too late.)

(She knows a little bit about everything/She knows something about everything)

--> Also, could someone please explain the difference between

There will be more later on :)

Hi everyone!

My name is Leslie, and I just started an LJ account for my notes in Russian. I've been studying Russian for several years, but I still make mistakes all the time, and I hope that participating in this community will be helpful (and also hope I can help others)!

I'll begin with a question:
What's the difference (if there is one) between "снова," "еще раз" and "опять"?

And if you'd like, friend me! I don't have any Russian-speaking friends on LJ yet, how sad. I'm looking for people who write in their journals in Russian with some frequency.
