This might be an incredibly easy question but I'm feeling kind of stupid today! :) I know how to say "Nice to meet you" but what if I wanted to put it in the past tense?

 Hello!
Could you correct this LJ-post for me? I am back to Russian language now, I am not quiet comfortable witing in Belarusian yet....;-)

I'm slightly confused. Would you use the genitive form only when you have a negative or is it whenever you show ownership?

This is how I'm understanding it:

- I have a car (car is in nominative).

- I don't have a car (car is in genitive).
