Hi, I have three questions :))

1. One of my dictionaries lists deverbal forms for verbs; for instance, for "бегать" it has "бегая", "бегающий" and "бегавший". I understand бегая but under what circumstances would you use the other two forms? I swear I've never seen them anywhere.

2. How do you say "to get bored (with sth)"? As in, "I played netball for two years, but then I got bored with it"?

3. Recently I mentioned to someone that I'd been avoiding Russians on LJ because I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to write properly :B I wrote "До сих пор я избегала Русских потому что я боялась, что я не смогу писать правильно." I'm pretty sure the second half of this sentence is wrong (of course, the first half could be wrong too). How would you translate my sentence?

Всем с новым годом!

Hello, this is my first time posting, and I have a rather desperate post. :) I am currently living in Tokyo and volunteered my Russian language abilities to some non-profits here, assuming I would do some fun chatting with Russians or so. I'm not a native speaker, but I can get through the language conversationally usually. :)

An anti-trafficking organization here in Tokyo contacted me and asked me to translate a checklist that they are using to disseminate information about identification of trafficked victims. They sent me an English version and asked me to translate it to Russian. It's completely a volunteer assignment, and has proven to be more difficult than I first imagined.

Anywho, I have given it a stab. If you have the time, please look at the English and Russian versions, and let me know what I can do to improve the Russian version. Thank you so much!!

ENGLISH VERSION:

Check Sheet
〜in order not to overlook slight signs of human trafficking〜

Because it against their will, or because they are told a lie, there are people who do not notice that they are trafficked victims.

The following questions may help you identify trafficked victims:

 What type of work do you do?
 Are you being paid?
 Can you go back home when you want to?
 Can you leave your job if you want to?
 Have you or your family been threatened?
 What are your working and living conditions like?
 Where do you sleep and eat?
 Do you have to ask permission to eat/sleep/go to the bathroom?
 Are there locks on the doors/windows so you cannot get out?
 Has your identification or documentation been taken from you?

If you think someone is a victim of human trafficking, please call Polaris Project Free Dial 0120-879-871.

Or if you are in a position to question a potential victim of human trafficking, look for the following clues:

 Evidence of being controlled
 Evidence of inability to move or leave job
 Bruises or other signs of physical abuse
 Fear or depression
 Not speaking on own behalf and/or non-Japanese speaking
 No passport or other forms of identification or documentation

can anyone tell me please, what is a 'райончик' and 'отшиб'?

I'm assuming it's something rather slangy.

Thank you!
