Several times in Russian conversation I've wanted to say something like the following:

"I am trying to learn Russian, but it is difficult because there are few speaking opportunities here. I would like to have more speaking practice."

Particularly, I'm looking for equivalents to the phrases "speaking practice" and "opportunities for speaking". I've considered using the phrases "разговорный речь" and "практика" but I suspect that this is not the best way to say it. What's the best way to say this stuff in colloquial Russian?

One of my students asked me if I knew of a song.  He said that many years ago he saw a Russian music video for a song about cats, the tune sounded like a song for kids, and someone told him it was a folk song.  Does anyone know about this?  Could you guide me to a video/audio file and lyrics?

Огромное спасибо!

Here's a test of russian gramma and language skills, if anyone's interested. I think it brings to your attention the little things, which you sometimes don't think about.
The site and test are entirely in russian, so it's probably for the more advanced learners. I certainly found it pretty difficult (I got 63/116).
Hope it helps.
