Can someone please explain the difference between imperfective and perfective imperatives? I have difficulty remembering when I should use one versus the other.

Also, an unrelated question: how do you say "It's not worth it" in Russian?

Russian by telephone

I have a very difficult time speaking on the phone in Russian. My self-consciousness about my Russian abilities is raised to new heights when I speak on the phone! I get nervous and then the whole conversation gets difficult. I am travelling to Belarus shortly and anticipate making a couple of phone calls to parents of my friend, who speak no English whatsoever; does anyone have any tips for me? Tips in general?

This page is called a test of the Russian language. Actually, not of the language, but of knowlege of certain well-known proverbs and quotes from books, films, etc.

Many native speakers find it very funny, some other native speakers find that they can't pass it. The rules are rather strict: two wrong answers, and you fail.
