Здравствуйте!

I am a beginning student of Russian and thought joining a community like this might be helpful when I have some questions since it seems friendly here!

Right now I am trying to memorize the declension patterns, can anyone help me find a good way to try to accomplish this? Sorry for I am very much starting to learn Russian.

Спасибо!

Hi,

I'm doing a translation from an article about beggars. There are two sentences that are written in a style meant to mimic how beggars speak. Unfortunately I don't learn beggars' Russian so I'm a bit stuck. Could someone help turn them into comprehensible Russian; if you want to translate them, don't let me stop you.

Hi all. I'll be teaching an interpreting class in Russian soon, and since it's a new course we don't have many resources yet. Does anyone know where I can find video files (mpg and the likes) of Russian speeches or texts? I found Putin's web site but I need something else as well. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Hello! Now, I'm not much for self-promotion, but I think it's appropriate...
I'm learning Russian, and have just started to keep a Russian livejournal, in which I shall write very rudimentary, error-ridden entries as often as possible to improve my language skills.
Everyone, from beginners (like myself) to native speakers, I'd love for you to add me as a friend, read my entries as I write them, and comment with corrections, thoughts, whatever. I'll try to write as interestingly as possible with my poor competency :). If you want, feel free to add me on [livejournal.com profile] happy_accidents as well.
