Who here has taken the TRKI (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language)?
There are four tests you can take, which are recognized by the Russian Ministery of Education.
The TRKI-1 is required for entrance into a Russian university. Apparently it measures for an intermediate level of competence, but the definition of "intermediate" is highly arbitrary. I'm going to St. Petersburg this summer for 6 weeks, and I'd like to take the TRKI-1 there at the end of my stay. Basically, I want/need/MUST pass this test! I'm not sure if they administer TRKI tests anywhere but Russia (do they?) so this may be my only chance before college.
Any insight?
Thanks,
Aimee
