i just joined this community, though i've been watching it for a while... my name is maaike, and i live in the netherlands.
i'm trying really hard to learn russian, but it's proving to be quite a challenge. :) anyway, i have a question, how do you type in cyrillic in livejournal? i see you all doing it, but i can't figure out how to do it myself!

Date: 2004-01-20 07:40 am (UTC)If you have Win98 you should go to Control Panel/Keyboard, then - to Languages, then - Add Language, than - choose the Russian one :)
Sorry, I have the Russian version of Win98 so maybe the English names of items are different... but anyway - you should find the picture of keyboard in your Control Panel :)

Date: 2004-01-20 05:31 am (UTC)you have to add Russian language in system settings. The letters have their own order on the keyboard. F.e. Russian "A" is on the button with standard "F", and so on. You can use special stickers for keyboard, or simply write the letters on the buttons by pen.

Date: 2004-01-20 10:08 pm (UTC)instructions are here, and they worked for me.
You can either buy stickers, a russian keyboard, or write in the characters yourself. It's not hard, and you can switch from english to russian in the same message. хорошо? :c)
