This is very random, but help needed :)

We have a moving light (I'm a theatre technician) with an error message, the only google search for the error message brings up the Russian manual (we can't find it in the British one) can someone please translate the following?

Лампа перегрелась и термепредохранитель отключил подачу питания в ламру.

I get the first part about the lamp overheating and guessing that the second part is it being disconnected... but what does 'термепредохранитель' mean?

hey,

so I was wondering is there a general way to answer a question that is asked using 'как' ?

the question I have is:
как жил кот перед тем как он поехал в дядей фёдором в деревню?

I always get confused when I answer questions using как,
I want to say:
Кот перед жил как плохо

But Im not sure if как needs to be in there... would I just omit it or replace it with так?
