Hello Everyone,

I'm doing a presentation about Caviar in my Russian Class, and there are a few sentences that I wanted to make sure have correct grammar and vocabulary. Here they are (with translation):

Икра — сырые или приготовленные яйца рыб.
(Caviar is the fresh [raw] or prepared eggs of fish) (Definition)

Яйца любой рыбы?
Самый дорогой вид икры-стерляди (очень редкая).
(Is caviar from just any type of fish? The most expensive type of caviar is from the sterlet (very rare).)

Икра едят, по традиции, на свадьбах и праздниках.
(Traditionally, Caviar is eaten at weddings and on holidays.)

Часто едят на бутерброде или на блинах.
(It is often eaten on buttered bread and on blini.)

В Америке, очень трудно найти икру осетра, потому что Обслуживание Рыбы и Дикой Соединенных Штатов запретило импорт этой икры.
(In America, it is very difficult to find Caviar from the Sturgeon, because the US Fish and Wildlife Service banned the import of Sturgeon Caviar.)

Also, I wanted to see if the following words were correct:

Fake/Counterfeit [Caviar]: Подделкая Икра
Illegal: Незаконно
Multicolored: Разноцветная

Thanks!

Hi everyone! My Russian friend gave me this quote by Dostoevsky and wants me to get an accurate translation of it (no "gist" type that online-translators do). In two of the words endings, his writing is illegible. Sorry! Here it is:

"Умом Россию не понл--(?),
В Россию можно только вери--(?)."

Thanks for any help anyone can give and I apologize about the endings.

EDIT: It is from Tyutchev; not Dostoevsky. I apologize for my stupidity and ignorance.
