Could we discuss the differences between uses of the propositions "про" and "о" to mean "about"? I've seen them both used in the sense of, "Он писал о работе/Он писал про работу", but I'm unsure of when to use which preposition.

2 little sentence translation

In a forum about computer programming I read a message. One of the sentences is "17 мегабайт с копейками" I guess that means something like "17 mb can be payed"? I couldn't be sure. Another sentence is "работу можем оплатить" which means, I believe, "work can be payed".

Can anyone help me with these sentences? Thanks advance.

St. Petersburg

I will be studying in St. Petersburg for six weeks this summer. Is there any one familiar enough with the area and with the Borzoi (борзая) breed of dog to advise me of any breeders in St Petersburg? Or, if anyone knows of other purebred dog breeders there who show their animals, perhaps I could contact them and they might assist me. I would love to visit with Russian borzoi breeders while I am there.
