Is there a direct Russian equivalent for the idea of being embarrassed?

How would you say...

He is embarrassed.

She embarrassed me.

I was embarrassed that I forgot my book.

Hello Everyone

Hey, I was wondering if anyone is interested in striking up a pen-pal relationship through e-mail? I am panning on returning to Russia in January for about a year and would love to practice through an actual exchange with someone (as opposed to generic exercises).

Also, I am working on a project involving transcription and analysis of various interviews conducted with rural elderly woman. The topic focuses on folklore and purported real life experiences. For example, women discussing experiences with witches. I am currently working on a story involving сглаз. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find information on this topic. While I prefer scholarly articles popular opinion is still of great interest to me. I am particularly interested in information about causes, reasons for casting сглаз, whether this is considered a voluntary or involuntary act etc. Also, I am interested to know the relationship between сглаз and порча. If anyone knows of a direction for me to pursue, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I think I have enough pen pals now. Thank you everyone for your responses, I will reply soon.
