Is there a direct Russian equivalent for the idea of being embarrassed?

How would you say...

He is embarrassed.

She embarrassed me.

I was embarrassed that I forgot my book.

Don't listen to this idiot nazzzgul, he's giving you an f-word, thinks it's funny, I guess. Actually, I'm hard pressed to answer because there is no direct translation for the English meaning of this word. It can be translated by using different words, though, depends on the context.

He is embarrassed - Он смущен/Ему неловко/Ему неудобно
She embarrassed me - Она меня смутила
I was embarrassed that I forgot my book - Я был смущен, что забыл свою книгу (not very good translation but possible and the most direct)/Мне было неловко, что я забыл свою книгу (much better)/Мне было неудобно, что я забыл свою книгу (also possible)

Depending on the context of the situation, it can be пристыдить, смущать, or опозорить. Or поставить в неловкую ситуацию.

He's embarassed - what's the context? Did the guy do something seriously wrong or just something awkward? And, actually, the last sentence throws me completely for the loop, since I can't imagine someone having such strong emotions about forgetting a book. :) Probably it can be translated as Меня смутило что я забыл(а) мою книгу.

Лингво, хуле

if you are looking for one word it's should be "стыдно". although the second one can not be translated directly.
1- Ему стыдно
2- Она поставила меня в неловкое положение.
3- Мне было стыдно оттого, что я забыл книгу.
