For the "так... как..." construction (as... as...), is it necessary that I use the short form of the adjective after так? If so, how would that be done in cases with adjectives that don't have short forms such as угнетающий? At least... no short forms that I'm aware of. Is the following correctly said?

Эта книга так угнетающая как фильм.
