Ok, so today in the office someone was giving out their email address and I remembered that Russians use the word "собака" for "@".

The question is, why? Can anyone explain it, or just give a good story for why? No one here could remember the explanations they'd been given.

the particle «же»

Okay, what exactly is «же»?  I know it's used for emphasis, but I don't know how...I know an example--what is(are) the difference(s) between «Ты знаешь.» and «Ты же знаешь.»?

Hi, guys. This community has helped me a lot and I was hoping that I might be able to give something back with this.

Using the keyboard layout designer for Windows XP, I made a keyboard layout for the Cyrillic alphabet that's more phonetic to the QWERTY keyboard... I have it uploaded on my server if you guys want it...
