Can you take a look at this sentence?

Я был погружен работой в аспирантуре и в общем мало размышлял в последнее время, что мне очень не нравится.

Is this construction, in which I use "что" after a sentence in this way to mean "which", used correctly? Does it sound ok?

i suppose there are different meanings:
погружен в работу - deeply concentrate on work
загружен работой - overloaded with work

If it is a narration i would prefer "и это" instead of "что".

Using "что" here assume that main idea of sentence is closed after it and explanation before.
E.g.:
Почему ты недоволен...? (Some question)
Я был погружен работой в аспирантуре и в общем мало размышлял в последнее время, что мне очень не нравится. (Direct answer follows что)
It is mostly identical to:
мне очень не нравится, что я был погружен работой в аспирантуре и в общем мало размышлял в последнее время. (where 'что' is 'that').
