Hello, everybody!
Please help me to translate this sentence from Russian into English correctly. I made my own translation, but I am not sure.

"Those who get caught by his nets are lost forever." conveys the meaning of it.

There's no subject in the sentence and both verb and participle are in an imperfective form, so it's a description of something generally happening. Perfect tense in english translation is absolutely not needed.

There's a comma missing for деепричастный оборот in the original Russian, by the way.

Hmm, didn't the original context have to do with a city?
Because when "его" is attributed to an inanimate object, then in English it'll be "its" instead of "his".

If I got it right, you should be asking this kind of questions in [livejournal.com profile] ru_learnenglish instead of [livejournal.com profile] learn_russian.

Please note that this is learn_russian, the place where native spakers of Russian consult the non-native learners of Russian language. You really should be asking that in ru_learnenglish instead.
