Thanks for the help with yesterday's post! I was inspired to attempt to write something a bit longer today. Here's what I was *trying* to write:

"And the reason is not only because there are so few people at work today..."

I am so happy today! And the reason is not only because there are so few people at work today... I am happy because today is Friday. I am happy because I ran a lot this week: 4 miles on Sunday, and then on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 2 miles each day. (And the last three times I have run with my dog Fiona! She loves to run and she no longer bites me when we run together!)

Yesterday I made plans to meet a former colleague at the zoo. My former colleague is from Ukraine and he's a grad student in my town. His wife and son are still in Ukraine, but his 6-year old daughter is here with him. Well, tomorrow he has something to do at the zoo, where he has to survey people visiting the zoo... And when he told me that his daughter would have to wait there in front of the zoo (but they wouldn't go in!) and she'd have nothing to do, I suggested that she and I visit the zoo together. My colleague's daughter's name is Lesya and she has lived in the U.S. for 6 months. We have met only once, in September, and then she didn't speak English. She knows Russian very well, even for a little Ukrainian. And of course, after 6 months, she speaks some English. Our visit to the zoo will be interesting I'm sure.

Я так рада сегодня! И причина не только что сегодня очень мало людей на работе... Я рада поэтому сегодня пятница. Я рада поэтому я много бегала на этой неделе: во воскресенье 4 мил, во вторнике, в среду и вчера 2 мил каждый раз. (И на последние три раза я бегала со собакой Фиона! Ей очень любит бегать и она не больше меня кусается когда бегаем вместе!)

Завтра я собиралась встретиться с одном бывшим коллегам в зоопарке. Мой бывший коллег с Украины и он аспирант в моим городе. Его жена и синь ещё на Украине, а его 6-летная дочь здесь с ними. Но, завтра у него что-нибудь дело в зоопарке, в котором ему надо проводить опрос с людми, которые зоопарке посетят... Но, когда он сказал что его дочечке надо ждать там и у ней не будет ничего делать, я предложила что я с ней посетили бы зоопарке вместе. Её зовут Леся и она живёт в Америке 6 месяца. Мы встретились только раз, в сентябре, и тогда она не могла говорить английски язык. Леся хорошо знает русский, хотя она маленькая украинка. И конечно, после 6 месяца, она говорит немножко английски. Наш визит в зоопарк должен быть интересный.
