this is a derogatory/jocular idiomatic expression
in russian that is used to to describe a woman as an ambitious but grotesque person.

thus if you do not want to offend somebody, only use this with those who have a good sense of humour

I think it would make sense to add this comment along with your expression from the very beginning. While the original poster could probably guess the connotation, there's still a good chance of misunderstanding, insulting somebody and feeling embarrassed.
