hi... it's me again ;p

I think I will be posting regularly wednesday and friday. lol.

Anyways more questions and grammar questions about the third chapter of Дядя Фёдор, Пёс и Кот:

I'm not sure about this question, Почему не бывает так, чтобы дети были сами по себе?
Does it mean "why can it not be, for children to on their own?"

According to chapter three I couldn't find anything specific that Печкин said to him as to why he believed that they couldn't be on their own.

And the other question I don/'t understand is, 'Почему Печкин растерялся?'
what does растерялся mean? I translated it and it said it mean 'no where' but that doesn't make sense.

if you could help me correct some of these statements that would be awesome too :
-Дядя Фёдор мыл собоку как, намылива и шерсть расчёсывал.
-Дядя фёдор выписывал Мурзилку журнал, Пёс выписывал что-нибудь про охоту и кот ничего не выписывал.



and then just one more, how would I say:
-no one lived there in a long time.

if I get the sense right, the correct versions of the sentences are:
- Дядя Фёдор мыл собаку мылом и расчёсывал ей шерсть.
- Дядя Фёдор выписывал журнал "Мурзилка", Пёс выписывал журнал про охоту, а кот ничего не выписывал.
