[identity profile] olydiagron.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] learn_russian
Hello!

I have now recorded about a minute and a half of my spoken Russian. But I can't post it here! I can post it to my journal, and to friend groups, but not directly in the learn_russian. And I really don't want to post it publicly in my journal, my friends will laugh at me, (because I sing a song as well!).

So please, anybody who is willing to help me with my russian pronounciation, please comment to this post, and I will put you in a special friend group, and only you will be able to listen to the post.

I would be so thankful, because I dont have any Russian friends that are linguists, and they don't know themselves how they speak, (if I ask them how a combination of words is pronounced they just say it slowly, one word at a time).

What's the problem with posting the link here? You put it somewhere on the Web, didn't you? So, just give us the direct link! (it looks like http://www.mysoundsarehere.com/olydiagronsounds/russian.mp3 or something like that.)

I would listen to your recording with pleasure. I am a linguist, one of my interests in the Uni was collecting and analysing foreigners' accents :))

I wouldn't mind listening to your recording, except I do not quite see how it will be useful to you.
I get the first part when we listen, but then how would we correct you?

I'll be glad to help, although I am not a linguist.

The song is soo "жАлестная" as our grennies used to say. And I agree with Wolk_Off, there is some Nordic accent, but it is really nice, Tack sa mycket.

Not that I am a linguist, but I am curious, since I've never heard an American with Russian of your level speaking. :) Do you mind?

BTW, how are you going to post it? Do you use imeem.com? It's like Youtube, but for sound.

Hello!
I myself am not a linguist, but I have a friend who is.
I can make her listen to your speech.
I am interersted in languages and I try to analyze people's Russian pronunciation, so I'd like to hear you speak.

I listened to these posts when they still were in public mode and I believe there's absolutely no reason for you to be afraid that somebody will laugh at you. From the point of view of another learner of the language it was clear that you work really hard on your pronunciation, I'm personally sure I'll never reach such a good level. Oh, and you are a good singer too, you sing in a very personal and expressive manner. So, please, put me in this special group, your accent sets such a good example for me :)

Add me to the group, please - if you created it. I am no linguist but I honestly don't care if you have an accent or not. The only thing I would care if I can understand you or not. They same way they did when I first came to Belgium and spoke "French" after only 10 months of studies. -that- WAS horrible :) but nobody minded.
