Hi!

I guess I'm on the edge of getting banned from this community on grounds of the no foul language rule. But I am not interested in foul language, really, I just need to understand what people say and sing!!!

There are two things in this song that I dont understand.

1. Что они в карманах носили?

2. Is he singing "Прошу не залупаться"? What does залупаться mean? Has it got anything to do with залупа, is it an obscen way of saying beeing an idiot?

What they had (lit.: carried) in [their] pockets?

For the reason not to be banned from the community feel free to contact me via ICQ/GTalk (in my userinfo) ;-)

There is nothing obscene in свинчатки(plural). Wich is, basically, brass-knucklers, but made from lead.

1. Свинчатки. СвинчАтка is rarely used jargon word. It means the kind of simple hooligan's weapon, smth like whip with lead on the ends.

2. Quite rude verb. Russian synonym - выпендриваться. Put on airs or show off are good translations.

If you understand all other words in this movie - your russian is fantastic ) But be careful - it's a parody on rusian criminal songs and many words are pronounced incorrectly. Especially it's seen in stresses.

1 Свинчатка. That's a sort of wearpoon (I'm not sure that it's a good word)in plumb wery popular in bunfight

2"Has it got anything to do with залупа" Yes. But I am not sure that the meaning here is "being idiot". I'd rather say "to gam", but I'm not an expert in obscene words :)

Залупаться means smth like "look for troubles", behave threatening or rude so that other people experience mighty desire to beat the shit outta you.

Yes, some reference to "zalupa" presents in this sentence. :)
Zalupat'sja - means fool teasing behaviour to have fight and kicked in the ass :)
