I am currently working on translating my resume from English into Russian. I need to describe my language level, and am realizing that usually when I've heard people -- even Russians around me -- describe their level, they have used English words: advanced, intermediate, pre-intermediate and so forth. How does one correctly say that their Russian skills are advanced?

There are basic(базовый), elementary (элементарный), 1, ,2,3 and 4 certificate leels in Russian system. It's possible to use "продвинутый" или "уровень выше среднего" for description of your knowledge level.
