Is there a difference between всё and все?

I know ё sometimes is written as e, so that's why I'm slightly confused.

Спасибо!

But mind that in print "е" used instead of "ё" very often so the difference between "всё" and "все" can only be guessed from context.

Yes. But "all" can be "все" and "всё" also.

You are right. But mind that всё is used with nouns in neuter gender in singular, e.g. всё лето (the whole summer, all summer, all summer long - depends on the context), whereas все is used with nouns in plural, both animate and inanimate, e.g. все люди (all people), все деревья (all trees), etc.
Всё is often used as a generalizing word so to say, without any nouns following it, e.g. "Всё своё ношу с собой", "Пушкин - это наше всё", and so on.

Unfortunately, "ё" is sometimes written as "e", and one just need to know you guess from the context.

ВСЁ - everything.
You can say "Bсё" when finished something, like "Done, finished".
Also you can say something like "Ну, всё, (хватит)" - "That's enough!".

BCE - either "everybody", or "all" for countable things.
"Все пришли, все здесь" - "Everybody has come, all are here".
"Все люди - братья" - "All people are brothers" :)

ВСЁ also can be "all" but for uncountable (I think).
"Всё это нужно сделать" - "All this needs to be done".

Sorry for clumsy examples, I just tried to think how to illustrate different options.

Exactly :) That's why I put smile after the sentense.

Actually I used to work for an organization called "Sisters" and we used to say "All people are sisters".

Actually in English we could say it in a politically correct way - All people are siblings?
But it sounds strange.

Well, I already apologized for the clumsy examples!

I didn't blame. Just kidding.
:-)
IMHO: Political correctness is one of the worst things.
