Does anyone know how to install russian spellcheck on OpenOffice? It's a rip off version of Microsoft Word, but free. Much the same, but I can't work out how to install a russian spellchecker even though I'm sure I remember using it on Word.

The word "rip-off" is somewhat offensive considering people donate their time (which probably costs upwards of $20/hr. in the real world) to create an entire office suite based on open standards (so they have to rely on bulletproof programming and not security by obscurity) and don't charge you for it.

You can't be "ripped off" on a product for which you paid nothing, though.

IIRC Student and Teacher Edition is about $150.

But yes, the "Home" edition is also $150. Who knows what features the "Home Office" has...

by "rip-off" I was referring to the origins of open office, ie that it is a virtual copy of the MS version but outside of their copyright.

I never meant that I was ripped off (pretty hard to consider a free product a rip-off!)

By rip-off I meant that it is virtually identical to the MS version, (minus the ridiculous price!) Believe me I'm totally in favour of microsoft not gettting a large chunk of my money!
