Does anyone know how to install russian spellcheck on OpenOffice? It's a rip off version of Microsoft Word, but free. Much the same, but I can't work out how to install a russian spellchecker even though I'm sure I remember using it on Word.
Спасибо!!

I think it's not as good as Word's one, however. Well, neither is OO.o :-)

The word "rip-off" is somewhat offensive considering people donate their time (which probably costs upwards of $20/hr. in the real world) to create an entire office suite based on open standards (so they have to rely on bulletproof programming and not security by obscurity) and don't charge you for it.

How is it NOT a rip-off? Think of the poor Billy boy: everybody who chooses OO.o instead of MS Office deprives him of another $150 :-)

lol, the "Standard" edition is $400!
You can't be "ripped off" on a product for which you paid nothing, though.

IIRC Student and Teacher Edition is about $150.

You actually have to prove you're a student or teacher, though.
But yes, the "Home" edition is also $150. Who knows what features the "Home Office" has...
