Так is an advers, такой is an adjective. Both have many different translations in Russian.

Я так не хочу делать уроки! I don't want to do my lessons very much.
Он так похож на свою маму. He looks just like his mother.
Такой
Она такая красивая! She is so pretty!
Он не такой, он этого не сделает. He isn't like this, he would never do it.
Кто он такой? Who is he?
