Я поистине пропускаю вас.

Is this how you say something to the nature of "I truly miss you"? If not, please show me how in both cyrillics and english characters if you can.

Spasibo.

I'm not sure if that's the right "miss" (the one you have seems to be "miss" as in "let pass"), and I'm not sure, but I've heard that "vas" is outdated and that you should use "tebya" instead.
Don't take my word for it, though. Like I said a few times, I'm not sure.

"vas" is formal, not outdated. "tebya" is the informal version.

Or maybe you miss multiple people.

Of course.. :-P Oops, I wasn't even thinking about multiple people in this context. Thanks.

well, rules may say "по Вас", but i rarely see or hear that form.
usually, most uses "по Вам".

Most may say whatever they want, even "мну по тя скучаить" ;) That doesn't change the universal rule, though.

And actually, one very rarely says (s)he misses someone in a formal way (if you use "вы" with someone, you won't tell him/her you miss 'em). Frankly, I cannot remember any real life situation from my experience. And when informal ways are possible, there's no problem.

I don't know what is awful and I don't have any personal opinion whatsoever. I just teach people what's right.

действительно = truly, really
you can also use a word "по-настоящему" (po-nastoyaschemu)

Sorry, but no -- not even close. In Russian, depending on the contest, you could say, e. g., "Я очень скучаю по вам" (Ya AWchin' skoochAyoo pah vAm) or "Мне очень вас не хватает" (MnyE AWchin' vahs ni khvatAH-eet).

And of course, depending on who you're saying this to, "вас" could be substituted by "тебя" (teebyA).

по тебе а не по тебя

Don't sweat the theory... The Russian verb скучать requires по plus the dative case when you miss someone.

I'd say "очень по тебе скучаю" or "сильно по тебе скучаю" or "сильно по тебе соскучился". All variants with "действительно", "на самом деле", etc are without a doubt valid, but they give away that you ain't a native speaker.

Hi Lee:) I really like "Мне очень тебя не хватает" mne ochen' tebya ne khvataet - because a literal but loose translation is something like "there isn't nearly enough you for me" and I think it sounds sweet.

"Вас" means not only the oficcial adress, but also polite, attentive, underlining your gallantry and light old-fashion... It is a kind of chic
