How would I say "He left me to die?" (I am the one who will perish, here)
Он оставил меня умереть (умирать?)

Multitran.ru had this:
leave for dead
юр. оставить, приняв за мёртвого

Leave for dead means you think they have died so you leave. Leave to die means they're about to die and you leave, allowing that to happen.
If multitran had had what I needed, I wouldn't have asked this community ;)

I wasn't aware of the difference. Wow, I can't even speak English anymore ;) Out of curiousity, why do you need to know all this?

"Он оставил меня умирать" is better and commonly used.

I'd say "бросил", not "оставил"
