I keep on forgetting how to decline numerals. For example:

"My village is located twenty-seven kilometres from Moscow."

Does it translate to "Моя деревня находится в двадцать семи километрах от Москвы"? Or does "twenty" decline too?

Yes. When it comes to thousands, we definitely have to switch to this pattern, you are right.

You may see that the subject is too complicated even for an experienced native speaker :)

This construction requires nominative case.
