Homework!

I have to write 10 simple Russian sentences, 5 past tense, and 5 future.
Any suggestions aside from I read yesterday?
My Professor wanted me to include objects and prepositions.

EDIT: I'm looking for English suggestions not someone to do my homework for me. Something like "I read about Nina yesterday"
