If I want to say "What will the weather be like tomorrow?" Would I use Что or Какая?

Какая погода завтра?
or
Что завтра обещают? (literally "what do they promise (forecast) for tomorrow?")

I don't believe in any translating software. It may work well between related languages with similar phrase structure. But machine translations from Russian into English (or back) are usually a pure joke.

The state of the art is SYSTRAN, which you may be able to get to translate things for free for you. Nothing else can really compete, but even that is a really shitty phrase translator.

Reliable yet automated translation is only possible for languages which are very close to each other. For example, you can find a decent Ukrainian-Russian translator engine (on-line and free), and Dutch-German tools are often OK. But don't try English-Russian or Chinese-French. Ever! ;)

OT:

When I worked with the 2000 US Census, there was one family i came across that only spoke spanish. so i translated the questions on babelfish(they had the short form fortunatly) and they barely understood. When they found out how I translated it, we all had a good laugh.

You can also say "Что завтра с погодой?" "Что завтра за погода?"
