learn_russianhey, i'm getting tattoos on my right and left wrists in a few weeks, and i want them to say "right" and "wrong" in russian, does anyone know how that would look?
edit All right, since a lot of people are making assumptions that the tattoo idea was a pun, which it wasn't.. I'm switching the words to my second choice.. Which is "Love" and "Hate". Thank you all for the help, except for those with OUTSTANDING bad attitudes who make this community a little less friendly.

You can try правая-неправая.
That pretty much preserves all English meanings, including the pun.
Also I am still suprprised someone would want it to be inscribed on his wrists forever.

If you think I'm insulting you, then get over it. You posted something on this community asking for opinions on "how would [having right and wrong tattooed on my wrists] look?" Did you *really* expect all of us to say, "Golly gee, that'd look really swell!" If you did think that, you're off your rocker. We can't even agree on grammar rules. By posting on here, you asked me (along with everyone else, of course) what I thought. And I think that those tattoos would look ridiculous.
Furthermore... You don't even SPEAK Russian. So how much sense would it make for you to have some language inked onto your body if you don't even understand it? (I feel the same way about having Chinese, etc. words for tatoos, too...) If that's how you feel you can honor Russian in the best way, then do it... But do realize that many native speakers will probably stare at your hands, and ask you, "WHY????"
And I hesitate to say this but... Russians rarely keep their opinions to themselves. So telling one to keep their negative opinions to his or herself will only make them think that you really have no idea what's going on.

I've seen many wrist tattoos that have looked beautiful.
This is my planned area for the inking to be done, however above it there will be a white lilly also drawn, and the inking will be a lot more bold than the image.

And as I mentioned above, I'm trying to learn. I'm having difficulty, so sue me. I'm not catching onto the language as easily as people have previously.
So your argument just became null and void.
I don't care about what other people think of me, I tend not to wallow in other people's opinions because I'm confident in myself enough not to care what people think. I've got tattoos already, and despite what people say or the looks they give me, I like them. I like having my nose pierced, and if someone is going to be superficial enough to judge my intellect or personality on them, they can.

Tattoos will always be controversial, it's true, but it's definitely your right. I personally find INCESSANT USE of CAPS aesthetically displeasing, but I just don't use them in my posts. Except now.
