Can you explain the difference between these three verb pairs?

Оканчивать/Окончить

Заканчивать/Закончить

Кончать/Кончить

Оканчивать and кончать can both refer to graduation from school, yes? But what about the other meanings? Maybe I can't understand the differences because I'm not familiar with Russian prefixes.

Any explanations (and examples!) for their usage would be greatly appreciated. Thanks))

Well, Beavis-and-Butthead generations seem to giggle every time they hear ANY word. What then? And who cares? :)

i didn't say anything about "Beavis-and-Butthead generation"
and you know that not only such generation use this word in such a meaning
to laugh - maybe
because this generation is not intelligent enough to understand what is polite and what is not. but older people can just think, not laugh..

Well, I still use this word with no contamination. And I don't care even if my Beavis-and-Butthead students do giggle occasionally :)
