I've always been interested in the Russian language. While I'm not officially learning it right now, I plan on it as soon as I graduate from my junior college. I just wanted to know -- what attracted y'all to this language?

The culture and music always attracted me when I was little. Although I have to admit my love for the music started when I was 5 and played Tetris. When I got older my interest in learning the language was renewed by watching movies (Burnt By The Sun, etc.) and enjoying simply the way russian "sounded." It finally came down to learning it on a whim by a friend of my mother's deciding to start an informal class.
