Hi, I'm new here. I've been just lurking for a few days.
I wonder if anybody knows some web source for studying russian.
I am going to teach some basic russian grammar but I need book help!
Appreciate any of your information!

I haven't found any resources online that are as good as a book -- most of them are incomplete or not as in depth.

You would probably have more luck searching for specific topics as they come up, for example, "russian genitive plural", than searching for Russian grammar in general. This, though, leads you to the problem of using resources that may be inconsistent.

MasterRussian.com (http://www.masterrussian.com) may have some of what you're looking for.

A quick search led me to this site (http://www.departments.bucknell.edu/russian/language/), which looks like it may be useful. This page (http://www.du.edu/langlit/russian/grammarx.htm) doesn't teach grammar, but it has exercizes that you might find useful.

Here you can find and order the russian grammar books and test the spelling of russian words, they have the nice on-line course VLADIMIR (i have used it in teaching, but the paper version) - it is for intermediate level, but some exercises are funny

This is the site for learning Russian. There are some online tutorials and stuff as well.

If this site doesn't have what you need, it will link you to a place that does.

Hey, just want to share our funny experience in learning russian. I am russian and my husband is american. I tried few timew to get him a russian books and cassetes but after one attempt I almost gave up :) I bought him a set of cassetes - Learn to Speak Russian in 21 days or something like that and just gave them to him. After first day of listening to them in the car (commute) he met me in the evening and told me he knows few new russian words now. Pause. Soup, Salad, gitara, park.
Then he burst into laughing. This cassete didnt have ANY SUNGLE ENGLISH comment in it. the whole tape is JUST in RUSSIAN. I dont understand WHO they targeted - if you russian - you DO NOT NEED this cassete. If you want to learn it - speak SOME english in there.

PS _ those words(Soup, Salad, gitara, park.) sound very similar in both languages :)

At the very least buy your husband the Pimsleur Quick and Simple Russian tapes. By the end of lesson 8 he will be able to ask you where you want to go, eat, or drink, and even maybe say that he would like to have a drink with you. He won't yet be able to say "I love you" in Russian, but I'm sure that comes later in the series.

I gave up 4 years ago - and used this fact to learn english better ;)
Mine was pretty basic at that time.
Still not perfect but much better then before.

He knows just a few words - the ones I am using to communicate with cats(commands) - food, in the room, in the house, good kitty etc(in russian) + few other words other guys tought him (bad ones but fortunately he is not using them :)
