I have been studying Russian on my own for almost a year now, and am currently using Living Language: Ultimate Russian, but I don't have the language CD/tapes that accompany the course. I was hoping that somebody could point me in the direction of another course with audio that would aide me (and not tear a too big hole in my pocket) and be worth my while. There seems to be so many courses out there, it can be bewildering. I'm just looking for something simple and thorough right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Russian...
Date: 2003-11-13 03:56 am (UTC)I bought Pimsleur Russian (Level 1) from ebay. It cost be US$60, but that was because I'm in the UK and the course is only available from the US. Originally, the course costs US$350, so I got a real bargain. So just go to www.ebay.com and do a simple search. If you're not lucky enough to win a set at a cheap price, I might consider you selling my set when I've finished with it.
All Pimsleur courses are audio-only, with almost no emphasis on reading and writing, which would seem to suit you perfectly. Good luck, with whatever course you end up using ^__^
