I almost forgot these.

In homage to the college students in our community, today's words all relate to alcohol in some way.

водка
I'm not telling you what this one is.

пиво
beer

вино
wine

бар
I'm not telling you what this one is, either.

напиток
drink

Now, where else would you drink? Ah, and "дома" doesn't count.

You're such a verb, S.
You're such a complete and hopeless verb.

Oh. I'm sorry.
I don't know languages at all. Nor Russian neither English :)

It's ok. I, too, learned a lot by trying to teach people things I didn't quite know myself. Those included the English and the Spanish language.
Пьянству – бой! :)

В.Ерофеев, "Москва - Петушки", глава 42:

...И немедленно выпил.

Конец главы.

Popular Russian proverb:

Пиво без водки - деньги на ветер.

Literally,

Beer without vodka - money in the wind.

Which means,

Beer without vodka is a waste of money.

In general, EVERYWHERE where you find what to drink... 8-) (just kidding)

But to be serious:

Ресторан ("restoran") - Restaurant
Кафе ("kafe") - Cafe
Рюмочная ("ryumochnaya") - (derived from "рюмка" - wine-glass, sort of bar, where drink mainly, not eat)
Пивная ("pivnaya"), пивнушка ("pivnushka") - bar (with beer mainly)
Закусочная ("zakusochnaya") - Snack-bar (derived from "закуска" - snack)
Забегаловка ("zabegalovka") - cafe-bistro (derived from "забегать" - drop-in)

Good luck!
