if i were to say a simple statement like "build your house", would "[to] build" have to be conjugated to the "you" form? or would it stay in the unconjugated form?
This depends on the context. If you use infinitive (to build your house) there shouldn't be any conjugation: (по-)строить твой дом. Otherwise you have to conjugate the word. E.g., if it's imperative, then like LadyBird said you should say this: (по-)строй твой дом. If it's the present tense, you'll use строишь твой дом. In the future and past tenses you'll also use appropriate forms.
BTW, if in this case a person builds his own house, you ought to use свой instead of свой.

Date: 2003-08-23 01:50 pm (UTC)"Build your house" is a command, so the verb would have to be in the imperative form.
However, if you're stating a fact, like "you are building your house", the verb would have to be in the second person present form.
