Hello everyone! I am interested in learning Russian. I know it sounds cheesy, but does anyone have any reccomendations on purchasing an audio course to begin learning from? Thanks in advance for all your help.

IMHO, it's better to learn basics of russian language with teacher, not only using audio/video courses.

I agree full-heartedly. If you can find someone in your community who speaks it, that would be ideal. If not, use a combination of text and audio excecises for the time being.

I attend the University of Iowa, which has one of the top Russian undergraduate programs in the United States, and also help tutor it, so if you ever have any questions or would like me to make web-based excercises for you as I have with some of my other tutees, I'd be more than glad to. Hi!-------I'm at the University of Northern Iowa, so I just thought I'd say hi. We have a wonderful Polish/Russian teacher here, Alicja, maybe you've met her- but it seems they've cancelled the advanced Russian class :(........so I might have to take it at Iowa. What level are you at?
And do you guys at Iowa also use the голоса textbooks?
If you're in advance Russian, or if you've passed that level, please let me know what materials you used, in case there's anything that I can buy. I am so worried about losing all my skills since they cancelled our advanced class.
