[кому] не до [чего]
Mar. 24th, 2003 08:41 amI've encountered a phrase in a short story that I can't make heads or tails of. The translation-helpy-guide is no help at all, either. It says to look it up under another entry that doesn't exist... don't you love it when that happens?
Anyway, here's the sentence:
Двугривенный цена не сходная, но ему не до цены...
I got all the nouns in that part down pat, but all the little bits elude me, specifially the "ему не до" part of it.
Any help?

"извини, мне не до тебя" (meaning, "у меня дел по горло (=много)" or "я слишком устал")
"- опять ты врешь?
- Нет, мне не до вранья " (means for example "все слишком серьезно, чтобы я мог врать")
I hope that helps.
