Mar. 5th, 2003 01:23 pmJust to add that I'm one more native Russian speaker - and also linguist and a teacher.
I'll be glad to help you to learn Russian.
If interested in my real name - I'm Anton.

Date: 2003-03-06 05:12 pm (UTC)But my speciality in the University was Russian language. So I can teach Russian.
Any questions at once?
Re:

I guess in general, my other biggest question would behow do you think he can get the most out of our "tutor-time" since he's not trying to learn it in the traditional in-class-four-or-five-days-a-week method?
Thanks!

Date: 2003-03-06 06:14 pm (UTC)It is same to English "oo" (long [u]), but without rounding the lips. Instead of it try to widen the lips as prouncing smth like "ee". You have to get deep back sound. I'll try to find some sound sources in Russian web.
And about the lessons... Let me think a bit.

I think you must hear some ORIGINAL Russian texts and try imitate the prononsation.
You must make a deal: the kisses and caresses - for real achievements only: one lesson - one (or two) kisses etc. I'm certain that the successes will be remarcable after several "lessons"... ;-)))
