Can you simply say "заниматься" and have it be understand that you mean "to study" or "do some homework"? Or must you always specify заниматься чем? I am trying to say "I woke up early this morning to study."

How would I say "full life" in Russia.. as in "I am happy, I feel I have a full life" (i.e. a life that is well-rounded and full of good and interesting things)?
