Sorry, if it is off-top... But that's for students studying Russian language and culture.
We are going to make a RUSSIAN REVOLUTION PARTY (to relax from a serious school course in History of Revolutions). How would you imagine it? Costumes? Games? Music? Activities? Any ideas? It should be fun!
Question for foreigners - what would you like such a party to be?
Thank you in advance!!

When you want to ask someone where they disappeared to (literally or figuratively), which usage is more standard?:

1. Куда ты пропал?
2. Где ты пропал?

The first one makes more sense to me, since пропасть is a motion verb and should require куда. But I think I hear the second one more.

Also, do people use the imperfective пропадал or the perfective пропал? Or does it depend on context?

I wrote this review of the film adaptation of Dostoevsky's "Demons" (Besy) for one of my classes. Could someone please read through it for corrections and suggestions? I would be very grateful.  It is the newest entry on my journal and also here is a link

We say something like :

"I saw a story about France on the TV news"

What Russian word would be used for "story" in this context ?

The order of words in russian seems to be one of the world's biggest mysteries. Is there any difference between these two?
